Home Alone House: Inside The McCallister House 30 Years Later!

The police arrive and arrest Harry and Marv, having identified all the houses that they broke into due to Marv's destructive habit of flooding them. Thinking that his wish has come true, he is overjoyed with his newfound freedom. Later, Kevin becomes frightened by his next door neighbor, "Old Man" Marley, who is rumored by the local children to be a serial killer who murdered his own family. The McCallister home is soon stalked by the "Wet Bandits", Harry and Marv, a pair of burglars who have been breaking into other vacant houses in the neighborhood. Kevin tricks them into thinking that his family is still home, forcing them to postpone their plans to rob the McCallister house.

Battery Park is a place on the south side of New York that gives a clear view to the Statue of Liberty. “Men in Black”, “Wall Street”, “She’s The One” and many other movies include a scene in this location. The World Trade Centre, Radio City Hall and South Street in Manhattan can be seen briefly in the movie. In an attempt to prevent Marv and Rob from robbing the toy store, Kevin lures the two criminals to one of Home Alone 2’s final filming locations—his Uncle’s brownstone.

The first scene we see from New York in the movie is the view from LaGuardia airport. A huge panoramic shot that displays the famous Empire State Building, along with all the skyscrapers piercing the sky. Whoever is not familiar with the adventures of the McCallister family during the 90’s was either not born yet or just skipped through a decade of Christmases without watching one of the most emblematic Christmas-themed comedies.
